CNC Machining
We work with clients from the initial design and development of ideas through to the creation of CAD data in preparation to machine large or complex parts in a variety of materials. Our technology includes large flat-bed routers and 4 axis milling centres. We have the back up of a conventional machine shop and a full 3D digital fabrication facility.
Our CNC machining capability includes a large AXYZ 8’x4’ flat-bed router excellent for processing a range of flat sheet materials including MDF, melamine board, plywood, OSB, laminates, veneered panels and plastic sheet material.
The production of bespoke items, prototypes and test pieces from CAD data
Designblok also possess a 4 axis milling centre specially designed for 3D modelling and 3D engraving. The maximum work area is 550mm x 330mm x 105mm (Z). Our milling centre can produce moulds and parts for small batch production quickly and inexpensively from a wide range of materials, including chemical woods, resin, ABS and non-ferrous metals such as aluminium, brass and copper.
We are able to produce prototypes or limited runs items for applications including architectural models, new product designs, furniture, packaging, signage, prototype structures and one offs.
